Why we are the leading eye clinic
The Cape Eye Laser Suite has successfully treated thousands of patients in Cape Town with LASIK ( Laser in-situkeratomileusis ) treatment.
The Wavelength EX500 excimer laser is the most advanced in the line of the ultra-fast flying spot lasers. Current laser technology has a treatment speed of 6-20 pulsesper second. The Wavelight EX500 laser has a treatment speed of 500 pulses per second, making it the fastest in the world, and up to 80 times faster than other technology. These high speeds of correction lead to less patient fatigue, improved patient comfort, and less incidence or corneal drying, which results in more precise outcomes.

Laser Surgery
Laser eye surgery is a safe and effective method of correcting refractive problems.
1. LASIK Laser Eye Surgery
2. LASEK (PRK) Laser Eye Surgery
The difference between the two laser eye surgeries is the way that the stroma is exposed before it is vaporized with the laser.
